Prague: The historic city

It was Wednesday. My friend came to my room and started talking about the beauty of Germany. In between talk, we decided to visit our 4th country Czech Republic. So, we planned to go Prague the capital city of Czech Republic. Also, Christmas was near so we did not want to stay at room. I heard a lot about this city. It is situated in the north-west of the country on the Vltava river. I booked everything before like hostel and transport.

When we reached there, we were really amazed by the view of the city as we did not expect that type of beauty before. We decided to explore the city by foot. It is always good when you exploring something with keen eyes. Firstly, we went to see the Old Town Square and The Astronomical Clock. There was a huge rush because of Christmas market. We were feeling a little bit cold as it was raining. Here we saw the Prague city Christmas markets and a street show in which they were singing some Christmas songs.

When we were passing through the streets of Prague, we visited a candy shop: Captain Candy. It was amazing. You can find every type of candy here. We bought some candy for our journey.

Next destination was The Charles Bridge: Iconic of the 14th century.  It connects the east and west Prague.  You can see the whole city view from this bridge. Every 20m distance, we saw some beautiful statues and some artists who were drawing sketches of life incidents. The morning and night view of this bridge was really awesome. After that, we crossed the bridge and entered into west Prague where world biggest castle was waiting for us.

Prague Castle: From 9th century. These are the largest ancient castle in the world. We reached there in the evening. They were looking like a horrible house (Bhoot Bangla). The way to these castles is quite interesting: By stairs. In Prague, clicking photos in front of biggest castles was an amazing experience.

After visiting these places, we were starving so we went to the MC Donald to eat something. It was 9pm. So we moved towards our Hostel:- Mango Hostel. The hostel is well furnished and good.

Next day, we finished our breakfast and headed up towards the Petrin Hills and Observation Tower. The tower is 60m tall which is already situated at 318m high. Climb the 299 steps to reach the top of the tower and the view over Prague is magnificent. Behind this, there is a beautiful garden.

View from the Garden: Observation Tower

This was the last destination of our trip. Now we were going back to Flixbus Station. On the way, we entered in Christmas market, where we tasted the Prague famous sweet: Trodle. It is made with bread. First, we were looking each other faces like how is it? But when we tasted it, Our feeling was like hungry.

The experience was good and amazing. We covered mostly famous destination in 24 hours. The weather was quite cold and windy. After visiting this city, I completed my another country. I enjoyed a lot here so I couldn´t wait to share my experience.

Děkuji.

Na Zdravi.

Divy Singhal.
