Street Art Tour of Paris

Stuck at home just because of some unusual reasons created things complicated. It is the common trend now-a-days due to the COVID19 pandemic all around the world. Even though, I’m feeling a prison at home. I want to travel and explore the Europe again without having any fear of pandemic. I travelled to many European countries where I saw different things like street art, architecture and cuisine. One of the interesting I found is the style of street art, graffities & murals in different cities in Europe.

Last week, I got the opportunity to attend the VIRTUAL ART TOUR of Paris by ‘Street art tour’. It was a MURAL XXL virtual tour with Kasia Klon where she showed me different Murals around the Paris and explained me briefly about them. She is an artist, founder and was a tour guide during the virtual tour.First, I was expecting something with art which I saw already, but it was totally a different experience to have a deep exposure about different form of art with different techniques.

A Mural is a piece of artwork which is painted directly on the wall. A distinguished characteristic of mural painting is that the architectural elements of the given space are harmoniously incorporated into the picture. During the tour, she explained the techniques, artists, live sightseeing and the art. I’ll show some Mural which she explained during the tour. These murals were created across the Paris in last few years.

One of the famous murals of Paris is ‘La Madre Secular II’ which was created in 2016. Its symbols linked to nature and science, La Madre Secular II depicts Madonna who replaces the apple from the biblical tale for Newton’s apple, as an allegory to the era of knowledge and skepticism. There is another one which some different mural style and it was created by recycled trash.

It was my first experience about the art in different styles and know about them. Now, I’ve a overview about the art which is created around the world. From the next time, I’ll observed and explore the city arts in different cities of Europe.
