Germany Education application process


Germany, a free education based country famous for its world-class education. There are many students across the world studying here. When you heard about Germany, you think about automobile, free education, and Europe. Now-a-days, there is a trend to get foreign education in many countries i.e. India etc. There are many options for further study like USA, Canada, Germany, Australia and New Zealand where students are moving to accomplish their dream. Germany is a very good option to get the further education like Masters, Bachelors, etc. Germany is a country which provides free education for all students across the world. There are two types of Universities in Germany.

TU(Technical University)

1. Public Universities

2. Mostly research Oriented

3. Good for research, PhD and all

4. Requirements quite high for admission


TH or FH (Technical Hochschule or Applied science)

1. Public Universities

2. Mostly practical Oriented

3. Good for Jobs or practical experience

4. Chances are high for admission


Admission Process:

Germany universities need proper technical sound in your profile if you’re targeting one of them. One should have the proper requirements in their profile to get admit. There are two term for application process.


1. Winter Semester: This is the term, when mostly universities open their admission portal. So, one have quite good options for application. Duration of winter semester is October to March.

Applications period: March - June.

Admit period: Mid-June/July.


2. Summer Semester: In this term, only few universities open their admission portal with few courses. It starts from April to September.

Application Period: November/December – February

Admit Period: Feb/March


One should need following documents before applying in the University:-

1. CV/Resume

2. SOP (Statement of purpose)

3. LOR (Letter of recommendation)

4. IELTS score (Min 6.0 in all modules)

5. Transcript (7.5 or 8.0 /10 for TUs)

6. 10th and 12th mark sheets

7. Passport

8. GRE score card (Only for few courses)

9. Certificates (if you have)

10. German Language (Not necessary but benefit you)


How to Prepare:


1. If you’re targeting the further education after bachelors or 12th, then you should start preparing for application process at least one year before. It takes time for IELTS exam and other documents.

2. If you taking admission in German courses, then you should have completed at least B1 or B2 for that. Then, only you can get the admission in German taught course.

3. IELTS: International English Language Testing System. They will test you in terms of Writing, Speaking, Listening and Reading skills. It is a paper based exam. The Minimum requirements for IELTS are 6.0 bands, also min 6.0 bands in all modules. There are two authorities who take IELTS exam. A] British Council. B] IDP education. You can give this exam at any time. There are numbers of date available on the portal of these two authorities. Result come after 13 days of the exam.

4. After IELTS, you can start collecting the documents like LORs, SOP, and Transcripts.

5. You can choose university in the below link where you will find all details regarding course, university, requirements and fees.



This is site where you search your interested programs using filter in the search. You will find all details like course detail, application process, requirements for the course, Fees and Information about the city where university is located. Also, some universities use Uni-assist Portal for application process. For that, you have to make account there for applying in the particular university. First time, you have to pay 75€ for first university and after that, it is 15€ per university application fees.

After submitting the online application, you have to send the hard copy of the documents to the uni-assist or university.



Note: Your all documents should be notarized.


Budget:


This is the main concern of mostly people. What will be the budget of whole degree?

See, one should show 10,236€ in the bank account during the VISA. It means that your monthly budget will be around 835€. So, this amount is just for one year. So, one the basis of this, you can have the rough idea of the budget.


Applying for VISA:


Appointment: You can take appointment using customer care service Number or email. But, try to book the appointment ASAP because it will take time.

These are the documents required for VISA Application:

1. Application for a national visa (you can get this form from their site.)

2. Belehrung nach § 54 Abs. 2 Nr. 8 i.V.m. § 53 AufenthG (Another form from the site)

3. Photo (Proper required photo)

4. Passport

5. Admission letter from the university

6. Blocked account statement (If your university doesn’t have tuition fees)

7. Blocked account statement + Financial prove of whole degree (Only if your university have tuition fee) (who is supporting you)

8. IELTS score-card, German language certificate (if you have one), 10th & 12th Mark sheets, Transcripts,

9. Demand draft (DD), or cash for VISA application fee = 75€ + Demand draft for VISA application form.


Blocked account:


It is an account where you have to open an account and blocked 10,236€. During VISA interview, you have to show the letter. You can use following services:

1. Fintiba,

2. Coracle,

3. Kotak Mahindra bank

4. Direct Deutsche Bank.

It will take at least 4 weeks to get the confirmation of VISA.


Travel Insurance:


It is a mandatory document during VISA pick-up. It should be valid for 6 months at least. You can take Bajaj alliance travel insurance which is quite cheap and worthy.

When your VISA is ready for pickup, you need following documents

1. Email that you received for information about pickup

2. Travel insurance for next 6 months


You will get three months VISA in the beginning. Then after, in Germany, you can apply for extension of VISA.
